It's easy. It's smart. All you have to do is remember the four "R"s ...
Respond. Get everyone in on going green at home, at school and in your community!
Mother Nature and Planet Earth will love you for it!
Recycle. When you out grow your clothes there are plenty of tweens who can use them. Donate to churches and organizations like the GoodWill. Take your pumpkin from Halloween and create a compost pile in the backyard. Use to fertilize your lawn during winter - and to plant a wonderful garden this coming spring!
Reuse. Turn paper bags into something creative. Make lunch bags, shopping bags - and even use them for your Halloween goodies!
It's easy. It's fun. It's smart.
All you have to do is follow the four "R"s ...
Hold a neighborhood recycling drive! Plant a neighborhood garden. Or hold a "reverse" yard sale where people donate items for homeless shelters!
Donate toys and clothes to places like the Goodwill or Salvation Army to give to homeless children.
Plant a garden to share veggies with your whole neighborhood! Malia, Sasha and their Mom, our First Lady are even doing it at The White House!
Give holiday decorations a life after. Use your Christmas tree, Mr. Pumpkin, and Easter egg shells to recylce into the ground and make a compost pile for a healthy garden! Your veggies and flowers will luvU4it!
